Medieval Points in the Chart: Happiness, Profession and the Mubtazz

Ben Dykes

Dr. Benjamin Dykes will talk about happiness and values in traditional astrology, help attendees understand how to delineate profession in the chart, and calculate the Lord of the Chart (the Mubtazz), a key planet ruling our lives and a link to our Higher Self.

Benjamin N. Dykes, PhD, is a leading member of the new generation of medieval astrologers who are bringing medieval techniques into the modern world. He recently completed the only full translations of Guido Bonatti's 13th century Book of Astronomy, as well as translations of the works of Arab astrologers Sahl and Mash’allah. Dr. Dykes received his AMA (Adeptus Medievalis Astrologiae) from the renowned medieval astrologer Robert Zoller, and his PhD in philosophy from the University of Illinois, where he taught philosophy until turning to astrology full-time. In addition to his extensive translation work, Dr. Dykes also teaches and reads charts for clients worldwide.
